Comparison of Global Tomographic Models

We have compared our new model SL2013sv with a number of different global, surface-wave based models in the upper mantle and transition zone. The different models are indicated in the top row. The comparisons are made at 12 different depths through the upper mantle and transition zone: 35, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600 and 700 km. The colour scale is indicated at the bottom of the figure, and saturation level for each depth (indicated at left) is the same for each model. The models are sorted by publication date.

Two versions are available below. Both are landscape, 70cm tall and varying widths.

Version 2: Models SL2013sv, SEMum2, DR2012, S40RTS, SEMum, GyPSum, SAW642ANb, TX2011, LH2008, S362ANI, HMSL, ND2008, DKP2005, CUB, TX2000, SAW24B16, and S20RTS.
